Birdwort
Bird's wallow, Stellaria media belongs to the carnation family and lives up to its name. Both the green parts and the many oil seeds of this annual plant, are very rich as a food source for a variety of birds, among other things. Birdwort likes open and slightly moist, nutrient-rich, upturned soil. The whole plant is edible and a delicacy for many birds.
